Booking Terms & Conditions

Reservations

We take card details to secure every reservation. Once you have booked, we will email you a secure link to add your card. We hold your table for 24 hours while you do this, or for 2 hours if your booking is within the next 24 hours. If card details are not added in that time, the reservation is released automatically.

Tables of up to 8 guests

If you need to cancel or reduce your booking, please give us at least 24 hours' notice. For cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or if you do not arrive, a charge of £25 per person is made to the card on file.

Groups of 9 to 12 guests

For groups of 9 or more, we require the group to choose one of our set menus, which you can view on our group dining page. Group tables are booked for a two-hour sitting, and a pre-payment of £500 is required to confirm the booking, which is deducted from your final bill.

Private dining and exclusive hire

For private hire, the minimum spend and 12.5% service charge are payable in full at the time of booking to confirm your reservation. Minimum spends vary by day and time, and we will confirm the details when you enquire.

  • Private dining room: seats up to 12 guests.

  • Ground floor back section: seats up to 12 guests, with the table reserved for the whole evening.

  • Exclusive hire of the restaurant: the minimum spend, hire fee and service charge are payable in full at the time of booking.

Cancellations for groups, private dining and exclusive hire

If a group, private dining or exclusive hire booking is cancelled with less than 14 days' notice, or is not honoured, the pre-payment is retained as a cancellation fee.

Final numbers for group bookings of 9+

Please confirm your final number of guests 72 hours before your booking. Numbers are then passed to our kitchen, and any reduction after this may still be charged.

Dietary requirements

Please let us know of any allergies or dietary requirements when booking, so that our kitchen can prepare accordingly.

Service charge

A discretionary service charge of 12.5% is added to all bills.

Cakeage

You are welcome to bring your own celebration cake. A cakeage charge of £5 per person applies.

Accessibility

Donostia is set in a Marylebone townhouse. Our private dining room is one flight of stairs down (as are our bathrooms), and unfortunately we do not have disabled access. Please get in touch if you have any questions before booking.
